A warning bell is rung shortly before each starting time so that pupils are ready for the start of each session. The day is divided into eight periods each of 40 minutes:

Our Secondary school is split into three Home Groups, headed up by Mrs Brown in Atholl, Mr Mackenzie in Cluniemore and Mr Kesson in Faskally. Within each Home Group there are three tutor groups structured on a vertical system, with around sixteen S1-S4 pupils in the tutor group. The groups meet at 08.55 for 10 minutes, giving opportunities for organisational support, recognising and celebrating achievement, peer mentoring and, most importantly, to enable our tutors to get to know the pupils in their group in more depth.
